1、 Why do clutch springs exhibit "insufficient elasticity" during use?
1. Unreasonable design and manufacturing parameters for non-standard springs: only focusing on parameters such as outer diameter, inner diameter, and length, often neglecting the cross-sectional area and pitch of the wire, resulting in insufficient elasticity.
2. Unreasonable selection of standard springs: Due to the cheap price in the picture, a lighter load type was chosen, which cannot withstand heavier loads, resulting in a feeling of insufficient elasticity.
3. Incorrect spring quality grade: Unintentionally or intentionally using ordinary springs as high-quality springs or imported springs, resulting in a feeling of insufficient elasticity.
4. Using beyond the specified temperature may result in a decrease or even loss of elasticity.
5. The spring wire itself is too soft, or the quenching temperature of the spring is too low or the insulation time is not long enough, or the tempering temperature after the spring is formed is too high and the time is long, resulting in insufficient tensile and compressive strength but insufficient elasticity. This is the true meaning of insufficient elasticity.


II Why do clutch springs break during use?
1. If the core shaft is too small or the spring is used horizontally, the spring and core shaft may wear out and break.
When the core shaft is too small, the assembly surface is uneven, or the parallelism of the positioning surfaces at both ends is poor, it will cause the spring to be compressed and twisted, resulting in local high pressure and fracture.
3. If the core shaft is too short and the end is not chamfered, it will cause friction and wear between the spring and the core shaft, resulting in fracture.
4. The use of foreign objects between spring coils reduces the actual effective number of coils, resulting in high stress that causes them to break.
5. The use of springs in series causes them to bend and exceed the length of the core shaft or countersunk hole, or due to slight differences in the springs themselves, those with weaker loads may experience greater compression and fracture.
6. Exceeding the maximum compression capacity can generate efficient stress and cause the spring to fracture.
7. Uneven spring material or excessive impurity content can lead to stress concentration and fracture.
8. Overheating, rusting, excessive hardness, and excessive compression of springs can all reduce their tensile and compressive strength and lead to fracture.
